For new patients 12 years old and younger, we provide a gentle cleaning and thorough exam during their first visit. This allows us to establish a positive relationship with your child and help them feel comfortable in our office. We will also:
- Take X-rays to check for cavities and other issues not visible to the naked eye
- Capture intraoral photos to document your child’s dental health
- Develop a personalized treatment plan to address any concerns and prevent future problems
Older patients may also be able to receive a cleaning during their first visit, depending on their individual situation. In addition to taking X-rays and intraoral photos, we will:
- Perform a comprehensive exam to assess your overall oral health
- Conduct a visual exam for signs of oral cancer
- Use our advanced 3-D cone beam CT scanner to detect any hidden issues
